Gatherings held by people in different parts of the country to announce support for Hamid Karzai’s candidacy in upcoming presidential election
Bamyan-Afghanistan (5th August 2009): Representatives of Wahdat Islami, Ensejam Milli and Harakat Islami parties of Afghanistan today in a big public gathering announced their support for Hamid Karzai’s candidacy in upcoming presidential election.
In this gathering more than 12000 residents of Yakawlang district and nearby villages participated. Speakers at the gathering said that Hamid Karzai is a symbol of national unity and he is able to lead the country, they announced their support for his candidacy in upcoming election.
In this gathering Haji Mohammad Mahqiq leader of Wahdat Islami Party of Afghanistan participated as well and in his speech recalled the achievements of Karzai’s government in the last seven years and asked the participants to vote for him in upcoming election.
